Fishing & Hunting in Saskatchewan: The Best!

Fishing … at Cedar Lodge Blackstrap Lake is lots of fun, both winter and summer fishing is always exciting. Fun for the whole family ! Fish caught in Blackstrap Lake include pike, perch, pickerel, walleye and white fish – you may even catch some others, but these are the main varieties. There is a boat launch at the Provincial Park at the more southern end of the lake, with a pass UNDER the causeway that will allow you to come back to Cedar Lodge and hitch your boat to our dock.   The Provincial Park has a number of camp areas and rv sections where you can grab an extra spot when Cedar Lodge is fully booked. Your friends may stay close by as it is a mere 2-3 kms to the campsite. Here are a couple of pictures to demonstrate how the entire area is simply beautiful, any season.     Glorious fall colors all around Blackstrap Lake are amazing and breathtaking! This road is about 2 kms from Cedar Lodge so you can see you can bike there and go all through the park on bicycle and enjoy the pleasant campsites and park benches and picnic tables. The boat launch is not far down the road where there is always lots of action through the spring, summer and fall.   ********** The Navy League of Canada is the next property north of us, then the Y Camp and a little farther down the lake is the Saskatoon Sailing Club – each of these brings a variety of water craft to the lake all summer long.   Duck Hunting at its Finest!
